Welder Fitter Position
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Position and tack weld components together according to blueprints within 1/16″.
- Perform fillet and full penetration welds using FCAW process.
- Handle material using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Finish surfaces of fabricated items and re-touch welds to make them undetectable (repair, polish, grind).
- Use precision and control to prevent damage and assure a quality product.
Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to pass a 2G structural FCAW weld test.
- Must be able to pass a tape measure test.
- Must pass a fitness for work physical.
- Must have good communication skills.
